Car parts are usually easy find, especially with the convenience brought by online shops. Some parts however, particularly those for vintage cars can be really hard to find. Let's say you managed to save a 1967 Pontiac GTO or Dodge Challenger 1970, the vintage muscle car of your dreams from the claws of car junk shop's heavy machines. Of course, she's not in a perfect condition, and a 5 mile of driving can easily get things worse. Would you make some repairs and twists and turns to get her on the road again or would you invest to save her for good? If you're going to ask for my opinion, well I'd rather choose the latter.

Those cars are rare find nowadays, and having those vehicles in your garage is like having a timeless treasure with you. Now the question you may be asking yourself is where to get those car parts that fits to your vintage car.

Car shops may say overhauling and pimping your classic muscle car can cost you as much as three times of the car's original price. Well, the'yre not lying, but that is if you mount brand new parts for that vehicle. While brand new parts are hard to find for classic cars, using second-hand parts from an identical car can be very cost effective.

Car parts for classic cars can be really hard to find, and new parts for particular models of classic cars are no longer manufactures. But you can always pay for it's fabrication. This may cost you a bit more, but you will get the exact part you want for your vehicle.



If you're on a tight budget, you may find yourself jumping from one car junk yard to another just to find the best deals for you vintage beauty. Classified ads from news papers, local vintage car club and magazines are also good options for good finds. Just make sure you inspecet each part you want to purchase meticulously before cashing them out.

You can actually find new maintenance parts such as clutches, brake pads, mugs, etc. from those ads. But if you're looking for original hub cap cover, or headlight enclosure, then you should try to find those used car parts to fit with your car's vintage design. Those classic parts are all-over online.

Of course you have to make sure you're doing business with legit shops, so check the last transactions and history of the seller. This should be available in its site. Deal with vendors who gets good feedback score. Business sites with a 30 or higher score is very safe to deal with.
